Monday Morning Motivation: Stand in Your Truth

woman bw truth

Greetings,

Happy Monday! Whenever I have a speaking engagement, I always worry if my subject matter is too “real”, because I’m not a faith based speaker. Like my writing, when I speak, I draw from my life experiences and struggles. They aren’t always the most pleasant, but I believe we share our stories to inspire others, letting them know they are not alone. So, I always share messages that are revealed to me upon much thought, and to be honest close upon time (although one of my next events, something came to me while on my way to work last week.)

However, it never fails that someone pulls me aside and shares how they almost didn’t attend the event but then felt like my message was for them or they are going through something similar in life.
Transparency can be scary, because people can be judgmental. It’s not easy to get in front of a group of people admit your stupidity or reveal your flaws, but in the end, I’d rather be standing in my truth, and I am learning, someone always needs to hear it.

Peace and blessings!
