#BeTheGlow was a multi-faceted activation at Essence Festival 2017 highlighting various artists, performers, and influencers within the African American community. AT&T’s #BeTheGlow campaign is dedicated to shining a glowing light on the people and ideas driving black culture forward. The event took place Ernest N. Memorial Convention Center, Friday, June 30th – Sunday, July 2nd, 2017.

The event was to celebrate African American Music, Art, and Beauty. The term glow has been used to represent pride beauty power and achievement within the African American community.
