(NEW ORLEANS) – The fourth annual “Women Mean Business Expo & Conference,” themed this year as “Behind Every Successful Woman is Herself,” will feature several notable New Orleans women business owners and community leaders, uniting Sunday, August 6, 2017, at the Algiers Auditorium (2485 Guadalcanal St.), from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event, highlighted by networking, shopping, speakers and live music, is presented by locally-owned event planning company, Opulent Productions, and CEO Orion Prater-Phillips, who launched the event in 2013.
WDSU-TV News Reporter Kellie Brown will serve as the emcee, while author Wendy Magee, Director of Operations for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children) Jefferson Parish, is the keynote speaker. Additional guest speakers include Francheska “Fancy” Felder, editor/publisher of SwagHer Magazine; Havilah Malone, No. 1 best-selling author of How to Become a Publicity Magnet In Any Market via TV, Radio & Print; and Crystal Owens, a professional development life coach. There will be special appearances by Keyandra Hall, Ms. Black Louisiana USA 2017; and Tiffany Williams, Ms. Full-Figured Louisiana 2017.
