SwagHer: How would you describe your swagher? What makes Khara, Khara?
Khara: I’m a wife, mother, business owner and a lover of reading and writing. I’m an introvert – but it doesn’t necessarily mean that I’m shy. I know within my heart that writing is my God given talent and passion. I strive to not only entertain but to also leave people with positive life lessons when they read my books.
SwagHer: “Killing You Softly” is your first release of the year; are you excited?
Khara: I’m excited and anxious to get reader’s feedback. I’m hopeful more will love it than not.
SwagHer: Tell us a little about your latest book, “Killing You Softly”.
Khara: “Killing You Softly” is a romantic suspense thriller – a first for me. I stepped out of my comfort zone for this one, and enjoyed every moment of it. It’s about a female African American assassin. She discovers her life and husband isn’t everything she perceived it to be. I can’t reveal more than that without giving too much away.
SwagHer: Do you identify with the main character in any way? Please share a little about her.
Khara: As an assassin – no! However, I know what it’s like to be blindsided by life and love, which Cass deals with. She was at a low point in her life when her husband, Vic, came into her life. He seemed like an answer to her unspoken prayers. He represented everything she never dreamed she would have – which comes back to haunt her when truths are finally revealed.
SwagHer: Do you have a routine for writing?
Khara: Not particularly, but I need a quiet space when I’m crunching out a certain word count in a day.
SwagHer: How would you describe your readers?
Khara: Supportive and loyal. My first novel released in 2014, and I have a few readers that’s been supporting me since then. I love them all without really know them all personally.
SwagHer: Are you working on any other projects or any upcoming events you care to share with our readers?
Khara: I’m always finding time to write – so yes I’m working on another project. It’s another romantic suspense. Upcoming events – Caribbean writers event at Enoch Library in Baltimore in June.
SwagHer: Where can your book be found?
Khara: All my books are available on Amazon, and few on GooglePlay.
