Black Men at Harvard Organize #ThankYouBlackWomen Campaign

A group of young Black men from Harvard are paying tribute to Black women in their own special way. Organized by Harvard basketball player, Zena Edosomwan, and photographer Sydney Claire, the project entitled #ThankYouBlackWomen is a short video comprised of clips of Black women describing what it is like to be a Black woman, a short poem by one of the young men, and many thank you’s for various reasons like guidance, supreme love, sacrifices, and resilience by others in the group.

Check it out below.

The following statement was included below their YouTube video:

I wanted this project to be a candid outpouring of love from black men to black women because black women really function as the backbone of our community and inspiration. I am who I am because of the strong black women who surrounded and supported me and I asked black men who share this same sentiment to take part in the project.

But wait, they also did a photo shoot, which you can view by clicking here.

These brothers are not only intelligent but WOKE! Let’s hope this appreciation for Black women continues spreading.
