Christmas is over and now the New Year is vastly approaching. I can honestly say that we have all seen some turmoil in 2016, be it personal or in business.  If there was ever a time anyone would want the New Year to ring in, it would definitely be now. Even though it may be ending on a sour note, the New Year doesn’t have to come in on that same note. If we start focusing right now on the new business we want to work towards, the New Year can be truly amazing. The term “New Business” doesn’t have to mean a newly started business. You can actually be in any phase, have the need to evaluate/revamp, and make it the business of your dreams. It all begins and ends with you, but just to make sure you are on the right track; we can give you some extra tips to make the New Year a true turn around for your business.

  1. Set S.M.A.R.T Goals

This is the most important part of starting and revamping a business. If you don’t know what you are aiming towards, you won’t know how to plan to be successful. Your goal needs to be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relatable, and Time focused. If your goal touches all of these characteristics, with your hard work, you can hit and demolish your goals each time. Here’s an example of a S.M.A.R.T goal: Business Besties will have helped 10 entrepreneurs earn 10,000 dollars a month in revenue by December 31, 2017.   1. Search for your Ideal Client

How many of you have said: I know exactly who my product/service is for, but then turn around and attempt to sell to everyone? This is one of the reasons new businesses and revamped businesses fail. You CANNOT get everyone to buy from you!! The main reason searching for your ideal client is so extremely important is that your product/service is meant to solve a problem. You cannot and will not solve everyone’s problem, which will make it very hard to get everyone to purchase from you. If you find those Ideal clients, you will have the set of individuals you are meant to help.

Lastly, but also very important:

  1. Develop a Business Pitch

No business owner walks around with their business plan. However, on a daily basis someone asks you what you do, how you do it, and most importantly who you do it for. From your goals you know what you will be doing, from the Ideal Client Search, you now know who you do it for. You just need to convey how you get your product/service in your clients’ sight. You will then tie all these things together and put together a business pitch. Business Besties is always eager to share its business pitch. Why?
