A Baton Rouge artist, ChaYsuh HighDef, received a nasty note along with the insult of spit on his truck last night, while parked at his apartment complex in the LSU community last night.
ChaYsuh says he went down to his truck last night and discovered the note, with the following insult below. He said he hadn’t been out much so he wasn’t sure who left it, but the only people he saw were not worth “eye-balling”.
ChaYsuh is well known for his music and humor in the community and has lived in the complex for almost three months.
“Even though I’m a “big dude” it made me feel violated and unsafe. It put me on edge and very cautious of everything around me, more than I’d normally be. It also hurt my feelings a bit due to all the White friends I’m supposed to have had, but these recent times have been showing me otherwise. This whole ordeal is making me very numb,” he shared with us.
While many tend to overlook it, as a nonnative to Baton Rouge, I’ve heard some of the most racist stories set along the LSU area, but more so at the little bars and clubs surrounding the campus.
