After years of arguing, the King family has finally asked for their suite about Dr.Martin Luther King Jr.’s belongings be dismissed.

The three siblings, Martin Luther King III, Dexter King, and Bernice King, have been torn over King’s Nobel Peace Prize and the Bible King carried with him throughout his activities during the Civil Rights movement. While the brothers wanted to sell the items, Bernice said the items were “sacred” and it would destroy King’s legacy.
While it has yet to be released what will become of the items, Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney who was presiding over the case released the keys to the court controlled deposit box to Martin Luther King III, the chairman of the estate board, now that both parties request a motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
