Fancy Finds: My Summer Skincare Regimen

Many have said my skin looks like it is glowing lately and wanted to know what I use, so I thought I would share. I’m still fairly new to beauty blogging. I know that sounds silly after 6 years of being a publisher, but hey I’ve never had much interest in makeup and beauty because I never had time. Now that I do, you all can expect more of these.
Nevertheless, my fresh glowing face summer regimen consists of the following three things:
Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser– I use this acne wash in the morning each day. I love the smell of the grapefruit extracts, I also KNOW it plays a big part in my glow as I have learned grapefruit is rich in antioxidants, Vitamin C, and fiber which help to fight wrinkles.
Equate Sport Sunscreen Continuous Spray- As you may or may not know, I enjoy walking in the morning. After interviewing Kimo Bentley, owner of Kimo Bentley skincare line, and she stressed how we as Black people don’t protect our skin. Because I needed something immediate and was unfamiliar with sunscreen, I’ve been trying this Equate brand which is Broad Spectrum SPF 50 and provides UVA/UVB protection. It’s clear and you first spray it; then rub it in. It doesn’t run when sweating, and it’s water resistant.
Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control Cleanser– I kid you not, it is one of the most exciting times of my day when I wash my face with this, especially in this southern heat. The oils in my hair and my oily skin often make my face feel extremely dirty and “weighted”. The tingling I feel when applying is so refreshing. I use it at night since it seems stronger to me.
So there you have it. Now of course I still swear by my cocoa butter. For the past 20 years it’s been Palmers, but I’m seeking healthier alternatives. I also drink lots of water. I’m not one of the gallon jug toters, sorry, but I drink my fair share. So do you have a summer skin care regimen? I would love to know. Tweet me or leave a comment below.
