RELATIONSHIPS 101: MIA by choice!

TOXICDo you ever wonder if the reason people don’t support you is because they doubted you?  I used to wonder the same thing and then I realized that in the end, it kind of didn’t matter.  Honestly, I have went MIA in a lot of people’s lives simply because I don’t deem it necessary.  Harsh I know, but true.  A lot of times we force relationships with family and friends based on wishes.  We wished they supported us, we wished they admitted to being wrong, we wished we were looked at a different way, we wish…we wish…we wish.

That genie’s lamp is tapped out though.  I hear over and over again from people how lack of support from those they expected to get it from doesn’t’ exist.  There can be whole support groups with a 12 step program based on this issue alone.  So here I am to give you guys a little encouragement.  IT DOESN’T MATTER!  On my conference last week, the message that kept being said over and over was be prepared to do it alone.  Be prepared to live your dream and go hard for you!  You may be telling yourself “but I don’t want to”, well get over it and DO IT ANYWAY!

Sometimes, you may find out that MIA is healthy and needed.  If you aren’t being supported aren’t you MIA anyway?  So here are some tips for you:

1-Decided if the relationship is healthy and worth it (if not exit stage left)

2-Recognize people who support you

3-Encourage yourself in your down time

4-Focus on growing you (reading, writing, focusing on your business, etc)

Sometimes, we have to realize that the most TOXIC people are the ones we choose to be around!  Notice I said choose, that means it is a choice!  Choose wisely!

Peace & Love
