Goal setter? Goal getter?

022416

Many goal setters a022416re in the company of other goal setters.  Every year they set goals and everyone is happy.  However, when a goal setter turns into a goal getter-your SQUAD might change.  You will find that as you get goals…you continue to get goals.  You continue to push yourself to get more goals.  That is the difference between a goal setter and goal getter.

When you get goals, you might find that your whole support system changes.  The way people look at you and the way you look at people will change.  It will… that is a hard, cold fact of goal getting.  My question for you is, do you stop?  Do you pivot and go back to just goal setting?  Are you prepared to walk that road alone or with new people if need be?

As I went from setting goals to getting goals, I was honestly surprised by the well (there is no cute way to say it) lack of support.  Sad thing is, I thought I was alone in dealing with that.  I’m not!  You aren’t!  There is a reason that millionaires hang with other millionaires.  Think about it.  It isn’t that money changed them (well maybe some), but most likely it is because of what you may be dealing with right this moment.  Lack of support as you continue to grow in your goal setting ways.

It is not that others have to believe in your goals, dreams, or purpose (it is yours, not theirs), but will an encouraging word hurt?  Probably.

It is hard for someone to support you as you goal get, when they are stuck in goal set mode.  No worries, you can still be nice.  Just know that you may have to find a new SQUAD or GAYLE (or whatever network) that will support you.  The one thing I discovered about goal getters, they attract other goal getters.  It is a beneficial relationship because you will cheerlead each other as you goal get.  You will find more goal getters will come into your life and it will seem like you are all on the same path.  So don’t stop. CONTINUE TO GET IT! GOT IT! GOOD!

Peace & Love
