We all do, we all have that “what if I would have turned right instead of left” thought. This makes us question everything. When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING! Then guess what happens next? We start to blame ourselves for those one or two life changing moves.
Dwelling on the “what ifs” is a waste of time. Think about it. You can not go back and undo what has been done. All you are really doing is beating yourself up. Plus, what you know now, you didn’t know then. Knowledge comes with experience (good, bad, or ugly).
What I recommend, especially since 2015 is almost gone, is to start DETOXIFYING. Start cleansing your negative thoughts of past failures and instead think of past triumphs.
If that means DETOXIFYING from certain people-do that too! However, DETOXIFYING is necessary for progress. You can’t think clearly and make a plan if you are still dwelling on your past “what ifs”. Make subtle changes and see what works. If it works, keep doing it!
You want to get a better outlook on life, start finding people who are positive and cut out the negative ones.
You want to drop some weight, try eating slow and listening to your body.
You want to start a business, google free business advice and take a class or two.
DETOXIFYING is a must to progress in life. It may be uncomfortable at first because we all like things that are familiar. Sometimes you just have to create a new familiar and that can’t be done with the old familiar in the way.
I am not yet where I am going to be! I constantly DETOXIFY- people, places, and things. I have seen it work in my own life. I had no idea that some of the things I have accomplished would have been accomplished by me. It is amazing and sometimes that road to bettering you will get lonely. Stay focused and keep going!
