Fox held an exclusive screening of their exciting new fall line-up for some of Atlanta’s biggest media outlets in Atlanta, so of course you know SwagHer was there to fill you in! With fall comes some of our favorite shows and as a result of Power being over I’m sure many of you are looking forward to new shows to indulge yourself in.
The event hosted by Liquid Soul gave a sneak peak into some shows that I’m sure you all will love! Guest arrived at Atlanta’s upscale theater Cinebistro to a Media Social Hour, where they checked in and were were presented with drink vouchers and hors d’oeuvres. Amongst the crowd were some celebrities we love, including Bambi from VH1’s Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and Jonica “Blu” Booth from season 12 of Bad Girls Club. Soon after guests fill the theater to enjoy the main event!
The lineup previews started off with Scream Queens, starring KeKe Palmer, a new thriller series about murders in a campus sorority house premiering in September 22, 2015. With Niecy Nash as the campus security for the house, you can not only expect to be sucked into trying to figure out the murderer, but you’ll also be laughing the whole time.
Another show to keep on your list to watch is Minority Report, where Megan Goode plays a detective who partners up with Stark Sands’ character, Dash, to solve crimes with the assistance of his ability to see the future. The science fiction series definitely kept my attention and I definitely encourage you to watch it when it premieres September 21st.
The show that everyone is waiting doesn’t seem like it will disappoint, for sure. One of the hottest shows out right now, Empire, is coming back and you don’t want to miss it! This season is supposed to give a better background of how each character got to the point they are at and is definitely going to be filled with drama! Between Lucious being in jail, Uncle Vernon’s death, and Cookie’s crazy antics it’s going to be another season that keeps people talking! Be sure to catch it September 23rd!
Lastly, the audience got the chance to view the first episode of Rosewood featuring every woman’s man crush Monday, Morris Chestnut. In the show premiering September 23rd, Chestnut plays a private pathologist who forms a partnership with a female detective, played by Jaina Lee Ortiz, to solve Miami murders. The episode was very entertaining and seems to contain a great storyline.
Overall the event was very nice and there were a lot of Atlanta’s influential individuals there to view the upcoming shows. It was refreshing to see shows with such diverse casts and to see the actors playing roles that you wouldn’t normally expect them to play.
