I recently finished Melody L. Hubbard’s No Bad B*!@#E$ Allowed and found it to be a thought provoking read that confirmed my own beliefs of being a woman of purpose.
Looking at the title, at first. I wondered how one could write a book on the subject. I was curious to see how they could keep the subject alive but Hubbard did great, touching on variety of subjects while reminding us as women of our worth. When she shares her own experience about her awakening while out at a club- I was like “Wow! It was this song that brought about this era.” I won’t name the song. Get the book. Furthermore Hubbard conducts interviews with teenage boys over 18 and both single and married men. As I read the men give their thoughts on bad b*!@#E$. I sat in awe. From the boys to the men, most agreed that they would not want to marry a bad b*!@# and did not take them seriously. Hubbard also included a journal at the end of each chapter, so we could reflect.
If you ever wondered just what is the deal with the anti bad b*!@#E$ advocates, I suggest you read this book. While many may say they do not refer to themselves as a “b*!@#”, myself included, it is usually due to the sole argument of they are not a female dog, Hubbard reminds us to be Fierce, Fearless, and Free that we were created to be, destined to stand beside a king equally as purposeful.
