Bobbi Kristina, the only daughter to pop-icon Whitney Huston has been moved to a hospice. For the past five months she has remained unconscious in the hospital after being found facedown and unresponsive in her bathtub on January 31. Her family released this statement on Wednesday:
“Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition has continued to deteriorate,” her aunt and co-guardian, Pat Houston, said. “As of today, she has been moved into hospice care. We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God’s hands now.”
Since being in the hospital her grandmother, Cissy Houston, has also stated, that Bobbi suffers from “irreversible brain damage”
“While she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive.”
A specialist has told the family that there is no chance of recovery; therefor a hospice is truly the best decision for her. Hospice care is to provide comfort for patients with life-threatening medical conditions rather then cure them.
Also, in wake of this sad news, the conservator over Bobbi Kristina’s financial affairs is suing Nick Gordon the man who has been described as Brown’s husband and boyfriend. The conservator, Bedelia C. Hargrove is accusing Gordon of abusing Brown as well as withdrawing $11,000 from her account while she has been in a coma.
