Financial expert and business mogul, Jewel Tankard, is becoming a household name. Tankard has made an impressionable name for herself as a top income earner at Ardyss International. She has empowered countless women over the past few years by teaching them the principles of how she became the person she is today. Well known for her family’s show on the Bravo network, Thicker Than Water. The show portrays a positive image of an African American family with Christian ties. Tankard is imprinting her life principles and achievements on various lives, and is not slowing down at any rate.
What motivates a woman such as Tankard? When I spoke with her over a phone interview, she said, “My family and my children are my heart, and the legacy I leave for them is my biggest motivation.” She wants the Tankard name and brand to be the same as the Trump, Hilton, and Rockefeller names. Tankard wants to set up a strong foundation that her family can build off of to become a force in the world. As co-pastor of The Destiny Center, author, and financial expert she is doing just that. While using her spiritual foundation in combination with her career to help, she is helping numerous people across the country.
Tankard believes that the show portrays her family in a positive light, which is extremely important due to the need of positive images of an African American family on TV. With issues such as Ferguson happening in the world, Tankard said, “We still have a long way to go, but there is always a solution. We have to raise politicians in our homes and back them financially, in order to stop the problem.” Thicker Than Water has helped various families get through problems, because they see that the Tankard family can persevere through these problems too. One of the biggest things that Jewel and her family have been able to do is reach people through Christianity, and even those who were not Christians. The show has helped people to see that Christian people are down to earth, proving the point that family transcends beyond what people’s personal beliefs are.
Tankard has several upcoming projects that she is excited about. One being The Jewel Talk Show, which will air on Impact (the first African American owned Christian network). While her financial advice show that airs on many local stations will continue to air. She and her family are doing a family conference April 24-27, 2015. The conference will be to help families with financial problems, workshops, and it will all tie in with Christianity. She is starting the Millionairess Book Club, which will happen on September 9, 2015. The tour will go on for six consecutive months. Tankard is also working on another book that covers what it takes to be an entrepreneur, and the art of making trends along with your own money.
A business mogul that has inspired many women to take more initiative on their life does not sum up Tankard enough. Her spiritual foundation has been the leading the force in her life, and has helped her in becoming the woman she is. As a humbled woman, Tankard keeps a focus on the positive factors in her life.
