A creator and expert in her field, Alicia Johnson is ready to bring the Midwest to

the dirty south. Johnson is gearing up to bring glits and glam in her creation of “ The

Phantom of the Opera” through creativity in hair straight to the runway.

A newly licensed hairstylist to the Atlanta area; Johnson is looking to

bring something new to the south. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois but recently

moved to Atlanta to expand her brand and begin anew. This gogetta

took an interest in hair at a young age and has been styling it for years. Her admiration of women

getting their hair done by professionals with her mother and aunts; to simple see

how it made a woman feel afterwards, Johnson knew then that that was what she wanted to do.

This Saturday, Alicia will debuting and expansion of her brand; Couture Hair: By

Alicia. Although the hair line has been on the market for a few months, it will

officially launch inside House of Blended Ink, for the Phantom Couture Hair Show

presented by: Couture Hair by Alicia. The event will be hosted by vocalist and

spoken word artist, Theresa the S.O.N.G.B.I.R.D of, “Bird is the Word”, who has been

seen on TVOne’s ‘Verses and Flow, and also HBO’s Educated Gangsta 101.

The new weave line prides itself on being 100% virgin human hair, that is double

sewn onto the weft. Each bundle of hair is 4.0oz with minimum to no shedding or

matting and can be worn straight, wavy, or curled. As a woman, we know we love

variety in hairstyles and to change things up with our hair often. What makes this

line so special is Alicia herself decided to purchase and sample the hair to test the

quality and durability, before branding it into Couture By Alicia. Also, the hair can

return back to its natural state after being washed and can last up to six months to a

year with the proper hair maintenance.

The evening is promised to be filled with creativity, centered around the theme of

“Phantom of the Opera”, bringing a variety of styles; showcasing hair through couture,

glitz and glam, to your everyday hairstyle. The night will start off with a mix and

mingle among attendees giving them the chance to check out vendors, purchase
