Kym Stylz is no stranger to SwagHer Magazine, but usually we are simply talking fashion and designing. Today Kym is our Wonder Woman and we are talking her newest venture that she has been working on for the past year, her upcoming book, “Life Stylz”.
“The book is based on inspiration and its intent is to set the platform for me to move forward with motivational speaking. It’s my objective through this book to reach entrepreneurs and self driven individuals. My personal belief in daily motivation is what sparked the idea for “Life Stylz”. People are always looking for the keys to a successful life and “Life Stylz” addresses these so-call keys,” Stylz explains.
If you follow this Wonder Woman online, you may have noticed she has been working out intensely. When asked what brought about this consciousness, Stylz replied, “I have always been an athlete. I ran track, played basketball, softball, and some water polo. It truly delights me to work out whether I’m at home doing pole fitness or in gym rat mode lifting and swimming. Your health is your true wealth ladies, do things that reflect this philosophy.”
Of course, we had to ask a designer’s opinion about fall fashion to which she shared, “I expect these beautiful floor length, full skirts will be the rave. I think everyone just loves the way they can be styled for any occasion. During my Vancouver Fashion Week Fall14 showcase my blue Remy Skirt (named after the lovely Australian model) was the most talked about and sought after garment, now the trend is coming in full circle reminding me I know my trends!”
As for Kym Couture, Stylz and her team are planning a national Fashion Week tour along with a few other unannounced projects. Stylz also has started a fundraiser for her daughters to start their own line. She,of course, will be the creative director and designer.
Stylz gave these words of wisdom as we wrapped up, I encourage everyone to question everything and challenge yourself. Keep your goals in clear view and never compromise with incompetent people. Be your own driver, the help of another is great, but what if their help is not really helping. Stand on your own, guide your own destiny. Good luck in all your ventures, be encouraged.
