Trust Yourself

happy black man

Top of the morning to you all.
Do you meditate, pray, or even fast? If you do, you know I am not crazy when I say sometimes you just have to listen to your wiser self. On the way here I asked myself questions as to why I am not exactly where I want to be, and if you have a serious inner connection, some may even call it your conscience, you will find all the answers you seek. No I did not ask the questions aloud, and I was not answering myself out loud. My lips didn’t move either so no, I am not crazy.
It’s funny the wisdom you can get from yourself. Everyone runs to get advice from their family or friends who are only going to give you advice from their perspective, but it’s what they would do. You are not them. We have to learn to trust ourselves. Trust your instincts.
We can find ourselves lost and confused on the account that we listened to someone else direct our life.
Listen, everyone is going to have an opinion about what you should or should not do. Everyone will want to put in their two cents in how you should run your life, but you have to remember that this is the life given to you; they have their own. We cannot walk on eggs shells, because we may offend someone. We cannot cower in the fear that someone is going to judge us. They are going to judge you anyway. They will judge you if you are poor. They will judge you if you are rich. No matter how cliché the saying is, it still rings true; you only get one life to live. You have to ask yourself, are you going to live it for them or for yourself? That dream that you had, that goal you have, that one thing that you always wanted to do- it is attainable. You have to trust in yourself and believe that all things are possible. It may take some hard work and dedication, but it is attainable.
You will get discouraged along the way. You will have bad days. There will be days that you wonder why you even tried, and you will want to quit, but you have to persevere. You must push yourself. Remind yourself why you wanted it. Whether for a better life or to prove to yourself that you could do it; just do it.
Well guys and girls. Those are my encouraging words for the day. I pray you do find hope and motivation in them. Remember the only person who loses when you quit is you.
