Perhaps it’s the fact that his business La’Roc Management is taking off and doing big things from the M.I.A. to the bay area, the fact that he’s the grandson of the legendary King of the Blues, B. B. King, or the fact that he is always so dapper whenever he steps out, but either way, Christopher King also known as King the Manager is our King Swag for the month.
La’Roc Management provides management for athletes, high fashion models, video vixens, and many other celebrities. “I started out the company in Japan, lived there for three years, and slowly progressed back to the states by the way of Georgia. We did work in Atlanta and in Savannah, and then nestled down in Albany. We chose Albany for one reason, there was nothing else there, so there was an opportunity to set a foundation in a city where there is no competition. Sometimes you have to move away from the central of the light to stand out on your own,” King explains.
One may wonder why the company is taking off the way it now is, but King says, “La’Roc Management- we are sophisticated. We are classy. We are the epitome of the hustle. When people see La’ Roc and they see me, they see as one. A lot of times today, when you see management, they look like the artist in jeans and a t-shirt, but when you see a representative from La’Roc, we are catering to the event that we are in, and we always represent out talent where you can see the difference. Depending on where we are you may see me in a tuxedo, you may see me in a suit, you might see me in business casual.”
